Yes, I Would Like to Phone a Friend

Once I decided that I want to be a beekeeper, my first step was to "phone a friend". 

I reached out to an amazing co-worker, artist, and friend who has been a beekeeper for a few years. His advice - "It's a hit and miss kind of thing.  It's like playing the $100 slots in Vegas.  Sometimes you win...and sometimes you don't." He's honest 😃😃😃.

He did offer to set me up with some of his extra supplies, which was very generous and quite on-brand for him. How we're going to pull off the transfer in the middle of the pandemic is a separate question. He also told me it's too late in the year to do anything other than getting prepared for next spring. Looks like I started at the right time!

I'm going to scout out some locations to put the hives this weekend. Watch out for pictures.
